CLASSES

Keuka Yoga Studio at Grace Farm offers a variety of yoga styles from gentle to intermediate level. Class is $15.00. Cash or Venmo accepted. Please contact us to reserve your spot in class or get your Zoom link.

GENTLE YOGA

This class gently introduces the poses, breathing techniques, a bit of Sanskrit and some of the philosophy of yoga. It also introduces the principles, postures and sequencing of Forrest Yoga. We focus on alignment and connecting movement with the breath, working the body gently in order to gain strength, flexibility, and balance.

FORREST YOGA

Due to suffering from chronic pain and injury, as well as negative habit energies, Ana Forrest created her own healing approach to Yoga and has been teaching it around the globe for years. This style combines traditional yoga form with new poses and sequencing that in addition to developing strength, flexibility and balance also address specific stresses on our bodies perpetuated by our contemporary lifestyle (i.e. overuse of some muscles and under use of others). The four pillars of Forrest Yoga are: breath, strength, integrity and spirit.

MINDFULNESS

All classes cultivate mindfulness through asana practice as we hold and move through the poses. We use the breath and the body to bring us into full awareness of the present moment. We learn to observe rather than react, nurture self-compassion rather than self-judgment, foster patience rather than frustration, and nourish gratitude rather than grasping.
